Welcome to Mrs. B.'s English class wiki! The following information is posted for your benefit but should not be a substitute for students keeping track of homework assignments and dates of upcoming evaluations. Please use the assignment pad. Thank you!

General information:

The course information sheet should be kept in the English binder for easy reference regarding course policies and grading.

Using our school software package, Senior Systems, you may access your grades on-line. Go to http://indy.seniormbp.com/SeniorApps/ and use the password sent to your family. If you have forgotten the password, please contact Mrs. Carol Bergner (cbergner@tisde.org), and she will be happy to assist you and your parents so that you may periodically check grade averages.

Students may access on-line practice when studying for a vocabulary quiz or test. Please explore www.vocabularyworkshop.com and set up a student account. You may study the vocabulary words for each unit using hangman games, word searches, multiple choice questions, etc. You may also easily print ready-made flashcards! (Levels B and C) If you have a smart phone or iPad, download the free QR scanner app to easily access the online components directly from the vocabulary workbook.

If you are absent and would like to know what activities took place in class that day, you may email your questions to me at pboettner@tisde.org.

During the second or third trimester, you will be involved in a research project. If you have any questions regarding MLA format, please consult www.oslis.org or www.mla.org. The English Department will be using these public sites as we begin the process of eliminating use of the printed handbook and relying on websites for current information on research paper format.

Please use the navigation menu at the left to find information pertinent to your class section. I hope that you find this wiki to be helpful. If at any time during the school year you need extra help, please check the schedule posted outside my classroom for periods during which you may see me. "Office hours" will be listed, and I will be happy to see you.
